PC David Rathband Blue Lamp Foundation

The Blue Lamp Foundation raises money to support personnel from all three emergency services injured in the line of duty. Police Constable David Rathband started the foundation whilst he was recovering from the horrific injuries he suffered when shot in the face by Raoul Moat in July 2010.

As a police officer myself the PC David Rathband Blue Lamp Foundation is a charity close to my heart. I'm very grateful that despite some 'hairy' situations in my own police career I have been fortunate to escape without serious injury.
